Visual design - June 2015

It’s been a while a friend of mine was trying to make the turn to create a editorial website tackling sociological and cultural questions of our time to dress it in weekly post. The website was launched as a blog in june 2015, and required a visual design for the header area of the homepage.

By making this design, the point was to evoke the anti-culture that drives this media website. So does the one-way sign in the center of the frame and the engraved title in trashed torn paper pieces, pilled up as layers, standing for the multiple caterogies that compose our modern societies. Being there, the media come as part of the scope of the modern western society while it points out its drawback and benefits as well.

To produce this design, I've been using the the open source software GIMP.
